Boat Rally Supporters,

Boat Rally for Kids is one of the most anticipated events held in Muskoka every year. It is an opportunity to get together with friends, engage in healthy competition, and enjoy a weekend of fun and excitement, while raising significant funds for a great cause. With over $25 million raised for children’s charities to date, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to do it all over again this year for Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

Unfortunately, however, as unprecedented times are upon us, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel Boat Rally for Kids for 2020 which was scheduled for August 21 and 22. Based on current stringent government restrictions related to social gatherings and events, we would not be able to execute the Boat Rally in the manner we have all been accustomed to these past 6 years. Furthermore, the safety of our participants and the kids are paramount.

When COVID-19 started to unfold in Toronto, some of Holland Bloorview’s families were hit the hardest, having to forego work and income to stay home and care for their immunocompromised kids. That is why, as Canada’s largest hospital dedicated to the care of children and youth with developmental and physical disabilities, Holland Bloorview has been working tirelessly to still provide access to services as well as funding for clients and families.

In the coming weeks, we will be sharing an announcement about next year’s date and an upcoming virtual event in support of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. In the absence of this year’s Boat Rally event, it is critical that we come together and show our support for Holland Bloorview. Please stay tuned for more information on how you can join us virtually to continue in the spirit of Boat Rally. The kids are counting on us and they need us now more than ever!

We appreciate your understanding and your continued support for both the hospital and Boat Rally for Kids. Regards,
